Dr. Carvalho was born and raised in Lincoln, RI. He attended the University of Rhode Island, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

After graduating from URI, he continued his education at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, NY, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic.

While in New York, he had the opportunity to work at sporting events such as the Millrose Games and New Balance Games, treating the athletes, coaches, and event staff.

He is an International Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, a certified Graston Technique practitioner, is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and is licensed in the states of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
